Peking University Guanghua School of Management International Fair 2020 was held on November 27, 2020, with the attendance of both Guanghua students and international exchange students. It is one of the proud traditions of Guanghua to promote internationalization and celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity at Guanghua. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, the International Fair adopted the form of online and offline for the first time.

The annual International Fair provides an excellent platform for exchange students to share their valuable experience and the uniqueness of their schools, to broaden students’ international horizons, and to explore for their all-round development. Guanghua has established profound cooperation with more than 130 prestigious universities covering Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and America. Each year, outstanding students from both sides, ranging from undergraduate, graduate, and MBA, were selected to partner universities to build academic and cultural communication.

This year’s International Fair had 13 top universities to be onsite, featuring the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Duke University, Emory University, University of Warwick, and Harvard University. The International Fair was attentively planned with multiple creative activities where students could interact at the well-designed“University Booths”. By sharing and listening, students gained a deeper understanding of their preferred exchange schools.

The climax of the International Fair was the“Living the Exchange” student panel when student representatives of each exchange school shared their campus lives, as well as their advice on studying, living, and traveling. Senior students Xichen Wang (participant of the Wharton exchange program) and Zhiyuan Yan (participant of the NYU Stern exchange program) shared their exchange experiences and offered tips on the application process.

“This Fair is amazing! I never dreamed about having so many people come and see what my campus looks like. I wish our school could have this International Fair as well. I’m planning to share my experience here with them. Thank you so much for preparing all of these for us!”, said Xialei Gao, an exchange student from the University of North Carolina.
“The Guanghua International Fair provides a very good opportunity for me to get to know more about the exchange schools that I have a strong interest in so far. We had wonderful conversations and fun interactions.”, said Yufei Zhao, a sophomore student of Guanghua.
The Junior students were quickly captivated by the aspiring speakers' heartfelt experiences and treasured takeaways. They were able to learn about the uniqueness of Guanghua’s partner schools and how their studies can benefit from immersing in a global setting.

Aside from fun interaction activities conducted between Guanghua students and international exchange students, faculty from Guanghua’s International Relations Office introduced the exchange selection regulations in terms of selection requirements, the application process, exchange fees, etc. The comprehensive information provided students with a clear timeline and to-do list before the application deadline.
