Singapore and China. They enjoy a strong and substantive relationship, demonstrated by frequent high-level visits, substantial people-to-people exchanges, booming economic ties, and all-round cooperation. Singapore has been China’s largest foreign investor, and China has been Singapore’s largest trading partner. There are currently three large-scale government-to-government projects at Suzhou Industrial Park, Tianjin Eco-City and Chongqing Strategic Connectivity. Why China? China surpassed the US as the largest economy in 2016 (adjusted for purchasing power) according to new report by OECD. It is not uncommon to hear comments from Chinese returnees that they seem to be living in stone age when they visit the US. China have seen recent useful advances like Wechat pay, Alipay, Didi, and innovations that are not well developed even in the US and Japan. And why Beijing? Beijing is the culture and political center of China. Moreover, Beijing is an exciting city that juxtaposes ancient history and culture with exciting new developments. Why PKU Guanghua MBA? Peking University enjoys a stellar reputation of being the best university in China, and I have the opportunity to learn from the best academics. In addition, Guanghua School of Management has one of the best MBA programs not only in Asia but also around the world. I chose the Peking University-National University of Singapore Double Degree MBA program because they are the best universities in Asia. With the network gained in China and Singapore, I am confident I can accomplish much more in my future career. With the skills and experience gained, I am sure that I can face all challenges in the future.
